Efektivitas Expressive Writing Terhadap Regulasi Emosi pada Mahasiswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas teknik expressive writing dalam meningkatkan kemampuan regulasi emosi pada mahasiswa. Regulasi emosi merupakan aspek penting dalam menjaga kesehatan mental, terutama di kalangan mahasiswa yang rentan mengalami stres dan tekanan emosional. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain two group pre-test - post-test. Sampel terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen (diberi intervensi diary expressive writing) dan kontrol (tidak diberi intervensi). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ). Hasil uji paired sampe t-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada skor regulasi emosi di kelompok eksperimen setelah menjalani intervensi. Sebaliknya, kelompok kontrol mengalami penurunan kemampuan regulasi emosi. Hasil uji independent sample t-test juga menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol pada skor post-test. Dengan demikian, expressive writing terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan regulasi emosi mahasiswa
