Abstract

The rapid growth of online shops in Indonesia is driven by digital technological advancement and shifting consumer purchasing behavior. Despite offering significant business opportunities, online shops are exposed to various operational risks that may disrupt business activities. These risks commonly arise in order processing, digital payment systems, product delivery, inventory management, and customer service. This study aims to describe the implementation of operational risk management in online shops based on questionnaire data collected from business owners. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, focusing on risk identification, evaluation, and control. The findings reveal that online shops face diverse operational risks, particularly delivery delays, payment system disruptions, inventory errors, and customer complaints. Although business owners are generally aware of these risks, risk management practices are still applied in a simple manner. Therefore, a more structured operational risk management approach is needed to improve service quality and ensure business sustainability.
