Perubahan Kepemilikan Tanah dan Strategi Nafkah Masyarakat di Dusun Koloh Tanjung, Kabupaten Lombok Utara

Abstract

This study examines land ownership changes and livelihood strategies of the community in Koloh Tanjung Hamlet, Pemenang Timur Village, North Lombok Regency. Land ownership change is a phenomenon that is increasingly occurring in rural areas with high tourism and investment potential. This study aims to describe the land ownership changes that occur and to analyze the community's livelihood strategies in maintaining their economic life amidst these changes. The study employs a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through participatory observation, natural conversation, documentation, and literature studies. The results show that land ownership changes occur through land sale and purchase transactions to foreign investors interested in the tourism potential of the hilly area. The community sells land for economic reasons, but this change has begun to shift their position from landowners to land managers. The community's livelihood strategies are still dominated by the agrarian sector through coconut plantations and cattle farming, with diversification into the tourism sector as a form of adaptation. Using social change theory, this study concludes that land ownership changes and community livelihood strategies influence each other, so policies are needed that maintain a balance between investment, tourism, and protection of the community's agrarian resources.
